Security Service charges at Batumi airport

This AIC replaces AIC A 02/2015 dated 27 MAR 2015.

The present Circular of Aeronautical Information contains information concerning charges for airport Batumi usage.
Charges are effective from 01 May, 2015.

Security Service Charges are payable to United Airports of Georgia LLC and is calculated as follows:

1. PASSENGER SECURITY FEES Charge (per passenger)
Per each international departing passenger 3 USD
Per each domestic departing passenger 1 USD
Per each transit/transfer departing passenger 1 USD
Passenger service fees are not applicable under conditions mentioned below:
  • babies 2 years old and under;
  • for flights carrying Heads of States;
  • crew members taking place on airlines' crew list and holding relevant cards (pilots, flight engineer, cabin crew, technician);
  • for inadmissible passengers (if they are returning back with the same flight);
  • for skymarshalls (if they are returning back with the same flight);
  • for flights carrying aid materials and/or aid personnel;
  • for flights landing because of technical reasons;
  • for flights returning to the departure airport due to technical reasons;
  • for flights diverted, due to any reason avoiding to land to the origin;
  • for flights assigned to the military or civil staff, who will perform official visits, and those notified by the related ministry.
2. AIRCRAFT SECURITY FEE Aircraft MTOW till 14 tons (included) Aircraft MTOW over 14 tons
Price 1 USD / ton 1,5 USD / ton
  • Fifteen percent (%15) surcharge is applicable for the flights arriving or departing in the following periods: from 22:00 till 06:00, local time.
  • In calculating the aircraft MTOW each portion of a ton will be calculated as full ton.
  • Aircraft less than 14 tons of MTOW (included) are not subject to pay landing fee and aircraft with 15 tons of MTOW and more are subject to pay the %50 of the landing fee amount stated above, in case of:
    1. landing at alternate aerodrome due to bad weather conditions in destination aerodrome;
    2. an emergency landing;
    3. demonstration flight.

Note: The said fee shall not apply to the passengers, who had already bought tickets for the time when the notification regarding the introduction of the Aviation Security Fee was sent to air carriers.
