Communication

Sakaeronavigatsia provides aeronautical mobile service, aeronautical fixed service and aeronautical broadcasting service.

The purpose of the mobile air-ground voice communication system is to provide two-way voice communication between controllers and pilots. VHF radio systems for air - ground communication are strategically deployed in several radio centers throughout the country to ensure quality coverage of all airspace in our area and to provide all types of air traffic control services. Additional independent backup systems are available to increase the reliability. All VHF radio frequencies for air-ground communication prior to operational use are harmonized internationally and registered in the ICAO Central Radio Frequency Registry.

The purpose of the mobile ground-to-ground voice communication system is to provide two-way voice communication between tower (Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi) controllers and services performing work in the area of responsibility of Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi tower controllers.

The purpose of the fixed ground-to-ground voice communication system is to provide two-way voice communication between the controllers of neighboring ATS units and Centres. For these purposes, Sakaeronavigatsia uses leased lines and DPS PhoneSAT, which are connected to the voice communication systems of neighboring ATS units.

Sakaeronavigatsia provides two types of ground-to-ground data transmission services using the aeronautical fixed telecommunications network AFTN for the exchange of specialized information (eg flight plans, meteorological information, coordination reports, etc.) and OLDI - data exchange protocol for Tbilisi data coordination when transferring / taking over air ships crossing the borders of Georgian airspace.

Sakaeronavigatsia provides aeronautical broadcasting service such as TbILISI ATIS (Automatic terminal information service) information.
